Yes, I have switched to the Chinese Calender. It's the Year of the Green, Wooden, Male Monkey! Three Cheers for Donkey Kong! I'm a Snake myself so I don't know how that fits into all of this :o)
Sorry I have been absent dudes and dudettes, but I have had a very busy month. First and foremost, I have been spending a lot of time with a lovely guy called Nick. I had termed him a 'Northern Lad' before, but now I know better. Apparently, Nottinghamshire is the Midlands, so he is a Midland Lad, and I often take the Midland Mainline to visit him at weekends. Nick is 33, a Leo (grr grr) and 5' 11". He has brown hair and eyes that change colour depending on what light your in. Not radically, like pink and purple and that, just subtley between green and grey and blue. He is also the sweetest man on Earth.
I don't actually think a week has gone by when I haven't seen him at least one day. His smile is quite addictive :o)
I have never before met someone that I can be completely honest with and actually be completely honest. Never before have I discussed problems in my relationship (with a small 'r', let's not rush things) with the person I'm in it with. It's quite liberating really.
Sorry if I'm gushing, but it's my website, so ner nerny ner ner. My cup runneth all over the place.
Sale Of The Century
Yes it's Monday, it's 6:20am, it's the works sales meeting!!!! Yay! Actually, for once I am not being sarcastic. I enjoyed every minute of it.
Each quarter the company I work for has a Sales Meeting, in a good financial quarter this may be in the Algarve, in a bad quarter (like Q4 of 2003) you go to Ashford in Kent at just gone 6 on a Monday morning. We stayed in a 4* hotel though, which was gorgeous, and as with everything in my company, if you work hard, you play hard. I never got to bed before 3am on each of the two nights we were there! We also got to have much fun at Diggerland as a treat (mixed reviews on that one) and had a gala evening at Leeds Castle which was most enjoyable. We even had Jesters! (real ones, not the fun pub in Plymouth)
Oh and some work got done. I was the representative of the Customer Services team. Yes, shock horror, our company likes each department to know what the others do! I'm used to Mushroom Culture, so it came as quite a shock to the system!
Old Fart
Twinky Queens beware! I turn 26 on Thursday, putting me at about 182 in Gay Years. Just when I was getting used to 25 as well!
I'm actually looking forward to this year. My birthday normally engenders a feeling of 'Woe is me, my life is pants and I'm gonna die alone and unloved' but this year I am Captain Upbeat. Besides, I have had a night out in Nottingham arranged for me. No-one ever arrange a whole night before, I have been taken to a cinema (which was cool guys, thank you) but this is like the works with a hotel and everything.
I am a lucky boi.
